Yamsuan deeply honored, humbled by ‘Outstanding Public Servant’ award

Bicol Saro Partylist Representative Brian Raymund Yamsuan is humbled and deeply honored by the recognition he has received from the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) as “Outstanding Public Servant” for 2023.

Along with the award, Yamsuan also received the distinguished Laurel Trophy, which RPMD said “underscores his exceptional dedication to aligning government capabilities with community needs, especially those of marginalized sectors, reflecting the Bicol Saro Partylist’s mission of upliftment and improvement.”

“By revolutionizing the party-list system through his personalized approach to public service, Congressman Yamsuan has not only made a tangible difference in the lives of many but also set a new benchmark for leadership within the Philippine political landscape,” RPMD said.

In response, Yamsuan said: “I am thankful to the RP-Mission and Development Foundation for recognizing our efforts to make public service felt not only by Bicolanos, but by all our countrymen who belong to the vulnerable and marginalized sectors of society. This recognition inspires me further to make good governance viral by becoming an example of dedication and excellence in serving our fellow Filipinos.”

“We in Bicol Saro Partylist humbly share this award with our countrymen, especially our supporters. We are grateful for their support in helping us accomplish our collective goal of making life safe, secure and comfortable for every Filipino family,” he added.

According to RPMD, “Yamsuan’s efforts have notably transformed the party-list system in the Philippines, demonstrating the power of self-styled public service that profoundly resonates with the Filipino people.”

“His work, marked by an unwavering commitment to service, has played a pivotal role in enhancing the representation and direct services of the Bicol Saro Partylist, emphasizing the importance of addressing the needs of the underrepresented,” RPMD said in conferring the award to Yamsuan.

RPMD cited Yamsuan’s “comprehensive background in executive and legislative domains,” which include a career as Assistant Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and as Deputy Secretary General of the House of Representatives.

“The laurel wreath, a symbol of excellence, honor, and victory, aptly commemorates Congressman Yamsuan’s dedication and achievements in governance and societal betterment. This recognition further emphasizes his commitment to public service and the welfare of Philippine society, demonstrating his role as a guardian of his constituents’ welfare and an advocate for better and progressive governance,” RPMD said.

Aside from Yamsuan, House Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe also received the Outstanding Public Servant for 2023 award. RPMD earlier also bestowed this recognition on Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez.
